The explanation
This piece is Dragons by the lake. My inspiration behind this piece is my interest in dragons. in this piece my goal was to use as few colors as possible because I was thinking of using this for shirt designs. I thought showing the dragons laying next to a lava sea as volcanoes erupt added to the theme of dragons. I thought the rock details helped show different surface textures behind and below the dragons.
What would I do differently?
What I would do differently is I would color the dragons a little better and maybe add mountains in between the volcanoes.
